Something beautiful lies within something simple. 

Draw a circle, mark points of equal distance around its circumference (360 makes for a satisfying shape, by working in degrees), number them, then draw a series of straight lines by joining up each point in turn with the number that is twice its value.  A visual image of the two times table.  It can also be drawn, more complexly using other systems of calculation. This shape, the cardioid, named from the Greek καρδία “heart”,  is one thing, but it is also many things, in that its shape can be created in several ways, using several lines of analysis.

Things do not have to be complex to be beautiful.
