We journey in life to realise our dreams.  When we talk about this our language is packed with such phrases as ‘it is an uphill struggle’, ‘reaching the peak’, ‘at the apex’.  We look up at people we admire.  For millennia we have looked to the heavens,  worshipped the moon, looked up and beyond.  Ascent is the essence of our journey, of achieving our goals, step by step.  Stairs is one representation of this ascent.  We do not always see where we are headed.  The spiral just hints at the double helix that connects us all.
